Is LearnTamil with Yazh free?
The starter lessons are free. Create a parent account and everything opens for 7 days with no card. After that the free part stays, and Premium unlocks the rest.
What ages is it for?
From about 3 years old up to adults. There are three tracks — Starter (LKG to 3rd std), Explorer (4th to 8th std) and Advanced (9th std and above).
Is it safe for children?
There are no ads, no chat and no tracking cookies. The leaderboard is off unless a parent turns it on, and shows only a nickname and stars.
Can my child hear the Tamil sounds?
Yes. Every letter and word has a sound. The app uses a Tamil voice on your device and can also play recordings made by the Yazh Kalaiyagam team.
